RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the sweater merchandising team, setting clear targets, guiding workflow, and ensuring performance excellence.
- Manage the full merchandising cycle, including product development, costing, sampling, order placement, production follow-up, and shipment.
- Act as the primary point of contact with customers in the USA and/or European markets, handling independent communication and building long-term relationships.
- Provide technical expertise on sweaters, including yarn selection, knit construction, fit, and finishing, to ensure products meet design and quality expectations.
- Collaborate closely with factories, suppliers, and cross-functional departments to ensure accurate execution of orders, on-time delivery, and compliance with customer standards.
- Anticipate and resolve potential production, quality, or timeline issues, proactively communicating with customers to manage expectations.
- Review market trends and customer needs to propose product development ideas that support growth opportunities.
- Ensure strong cost management and efficiency improvements across the merchandising process.
- Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
- 8–10 years’ solid experience in sweater merchandising, with a strong foundation in handling international buyers.
- In-depth technical knowledge of sweaters, yarns, knit structures, and production processes.
- Proven track record managing merchandising for USA and/or European customers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust and credibility with overseas clients.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
- Fluent in Cantonese/ Mandarin, and English (spoken and written).
- Independent, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving under pressure in a high-volume factory environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
