Job Description

The Production Director is responsible for leading and managing the entire fastener manufacturing operations to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely production. This role requires strong expertise in fastener production processes (cold heading, threading, heat treatment, plating, surface finishing, etc.), lean manufacturing, and team leadership to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead overall fastener production operations to achieve output, quality, cost, and deliver targets.
  • Oversee production planning, process control, and resource allocation.
  • Drive lean manufacturing, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, EHS, and customer requirements.
  • Manage and develop production managers, supervisors, and shop-floor staff.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality teams for smooth operations.
  • Support new product introduction and technology upgrades.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 20+ years in manufacturing, 15+ years in senior leadership (fastener/automotive/precision parts).
  • Experience in setting up a factory is required.
  • Strong knowledge of fastener processes (cold heading, threading, heat treatment, plating).
  • Proven track record in lean manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Good English (Mandarin is a plus).
