About the Opportunity

We are representing a leading food & beverage manufacturing and distribution company, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, to identify a Tax Director.

We are seeking a strategic Tax Director to lead the Group's tax governance, planning, compliance, and risk management agenda. This is a highly visible leadership role partnering closely with senior management, business leaders, external advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure tax efficiency and compliance across a diversified corporate group.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Group's overall tax strategy and tax planning initiatives.
  • Lead tax risk management and ensure compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations and relevant international tax jurisdictions where the Group operates or invests.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve tax policies, governance frameworks, controls, and assurance processes across the Group.
  • Advise management on tax implications of business decisions, investments, financing structures, M&A activities, transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and cross-border operations.
  • Partner with external tax advisors to optimize tax structures and proactively identify tax risks and mitigation plans.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities, industry associations, business leaders, and external stakeholders, including participation in tax advocacy and policy discussions where appropriate.
  • Oversee tax compliance across the Group and subsidiaries, ensuring timely reporting, filings, and resolution of tax matters.
  • Lead tax audits, inspections, and disputes, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors to protect the Group's interests and tax positions.
  • Drive tax capability building and alignment across finance and business functions.

 

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive tax experience, including leadership responsibilities within large corporations, multinational companies, or professional services firms.
  • Strong technical expertise in corporate taxation, tax governance, transfer pricing, international taxation, tax planning, and tax risk management.
  • Experience working with listed companies, diversified business groups, or multinational organizations is highly desirable.
  • Big 4 tax advisory experience is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Fluent in both Vietnamese and English.
  • Commercially minded, analytical, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced and complex business environment.
